Throughout the 13-episode season, Michel shares her vegan experiences with vegans and non vegans alike:
Vegan chefs and vegan restaurant owners, those who have never eaten meat, and those who have never considered veganism... They travel to restaurants, smoothie spots, grills, cafes, bars, farms, farmer's markets, and co-ops devouring the scrumptious and delicious vegan treats and eats, every step of the way! LOL!
As she travels this journey with the other hosts, the humor and professional cooking presentations promote the great benefits of a vegan diet and provide an entertaining illustration of how to enjoy the journey of improving your health, happiness, and overall quality of life.
Going Vegan is about protecting animals, avoiding the consumption of animal products and healthy eating, beneficial lifestyle changes which exemplifies values that encourage loving yourself, personal growth, and most importantly, having fun while you live your life!

About the Host, Michel Cockerham
Former corporate exec, when Michel was growing up, around her middle school years, she told her parents that she didn't want to eat pigs or cows. Lol. Her grandparents were pig farmers- she visited a slaughterhouse and saw how animals were treated there. It broke her heart.
Due to feminine health issues, she deserted dairy in 2012 and later tapered the lamb, chicken, and turkey off in mid-2015. Her final battles were shrimp and then salmon, in September 2015.
Today, she is leaning towards whole plant based foods, but doesn't fail to grab a sweet or two every now and then!
Since switching her diet, she has experienced tremendous improvements in her health and life as a whole- noting that there is tremendous difference in why she went vegan verses why she is still vegan today!

I received my book a few weeks ago.
I like the overall book design and the images of all of the foods. I also like the fact that it's information about transitioning first, then afterwards many, many recipes to try to prepare! I'll send some partners and friends your way!
